Here are my thoughts on how to achieve this.  Now, as a webmaster and designer I had to run into several issues.  As a business man you have to realize that you are great at what you do.  And take a look at your work and seriously be honest with yourself.  If you lie to yourself you will never make it in anything you do.
1. Do not let someone else tell you – you are no good at what you do.  Be able to work with people and take constructive critism but you don’t have to take straight hating info from morons that don’t show by their actions that they are any better than you.
2. Get away from morons if there is any in your life.  I give people one chance and if they fuck that up, good bye.
3. Think about getting the programmed shit in our lives out of your system.  Example: We all are told to believe that we need others if you need to go into a cave and get real with yourself you need to do it for your company and focus with one.
4. Research your tools, use all and everything to learn all the time.  Stay open minded.
5. Even in busines we are told that the customer is always right.  Not true.  This only applies to Walmarts etc..  See if you let someone get away with something and doesn’t go by your terms and conditions and give to much.  Human nature is that they will think you are some sucker.  You can’t afford this.  I’ll be honest I have told a few clients where they can stick it because they got to personal instead of sticking to the business end.  I rather lose a client idiot then have one thinking I’m some rip off and taking advantage when personally with me I give my clients a service that is affordable and more extras then they can imagine.  But do not under sell yourself.
6. You might have to give people more in the beginning if you don’t have a nice beefy portfolio to show your new soon to be clients your work.  Once your work is there to be seen don’t take yourself or price yourself to low.  Unless you are doing a networking plan to help small businesses and make sure they scratch your back in return.  No scratch no love for them because then it’s a all giving and no getting – that’s not what networking is all about.
Well, I think I covered what I was feeling and know for a fact.  In business you don’t have to be mean but you need to make sure people know sometime when they have gone to far or need to be told and you can’t win them all so letting some clients with their smart asses or egos go, doesn’t mean you lost the game.  You don’t need that.  This means basically they are not going to teamwork with you to get them to where they need to be.  Most people like this are game players and they are wasting your time because they are not serious about success.  Keep going and never quit because if your work is unique and people can’t handle change that’s their issue not yours.  If you noticed, all the successfull people are not scared of being different.  Constantly, change things around kinda like keywords in SEO work till you get the right combo then hit hard!
One more thing, be able to sleep but make sure you are always working on something to better your business.  I personally  stay up  3 days straight and maybe one hour of sleep to get to where I need to be.  Depends on the person.  You got to remember when you are slacking someone else is stealing your business.
Goodluck everyone, this is actually common sense stuff but common sense sometimes isn’t too common.
